Global Food Properties sold two (2) challenging grain-based facilities in 2016 for a leading global manufacturer. The third plant slated for disposition exceeded 800,000 SF, consisted of several buildings in a Tier 1 industrial market; as such, and by any measure, the project would be high-profile and with oversized fees.
Global Food Properties was presented with the opportunity, but against its own interests, advised the Seller the property would likely trade locally, outside the food sector, with no discernible leverage absent higher finishes or a more complex production infrastructure. As such, Global Food Properties recommended alternative brokerage firms, all generalists and fluent in more generic industrial assets. Global Food Properties stands by its motto: Who you choose matters. Even if it is not us.
